Light weight and floating property. Polypropylene has a density lower than water. Fabrics, ropes and nets made of this yarn can float on water, a major advantage for fishery and marine products.
Non-water-absorbent and rot-proof. This fiber absorbs almost no water. When soaked, it will not swell, and tensile strength remains stable. It is mildew-resistant and decay-proof in wet,muddy and salty environments, far superior to natural fibers such as cotton , jute and sisal.
Cost advantage. Cheaper, with high cost performance for mass industrial textile production.
